March 31, 2008 Wordpress 2.5 was released a few days ago and I finally got around to upgrading the website. So far so good and I am digging the new admin interface. I seen some traffic on the wordpress forums about how people didn’t like the new admin interface when it was in Beta. It is different then before, but I am not finding it too difficult to find everything.
January 13, 2008 I have been toiling away trying to get my new custom theme finished before the February 5th deadline and so far it has not been going so great. I found a color scheme at kuler called Chemical Crime that I been trying to use for the color theme of the site. I am just trying to figure out the best way for what elements get styled with what color. I sort of have a very rough work in progress right now of what I did so far. I am not very happy with the way the background came out. However I am happy with the way the header is looking so far. I am trying to go with a Distressed look. I am getting kind of sick of all the glossy/shiny web 2.0 look and want to try something different.
July 10, 2006 I been pretty busy and haven’t really had the time to blog much. I hope to be changing that soon. I did some tweaks to the site, mostly with just the categories. I changed a couple around and made 3 new categories: webdev, perl and C#. Those will be mostly used to blog about cool stuff i learned while trying to learn them. I also wanted to change to a different theme for a bit while i work on my new custom one for the site. However most of the themes i liked break horribly for some reason when i load them up. Either i am getting php errrors or javascript wierdness (damn you AJAX). I figure by the time i find out and fix what broke i could have finished my own.
February 17, 2005 If you havent noticed, I upgraded to 1.5. The upgrade itself was pretty damn painless and quick. I am going to leave the default Kubrick theme on here till i can cook up my own.
October 12, 2004 Finally got around to installing Kitten’s Spam words. Now the amount of comment spam i been getting should either go down a great deal or stop all together. Adam was saying when he installed the plugin he hasnt been hit with spam comments since. When I get some more time i am going to tweak the CSS i think a little bit. Maybe change around some colors and stuff, we’ll see.
