Survived Orientation
January 25, 2008 Last night I had orientation for school. I got to meet my Cohort for the next 18+ months. Seems like a pretty interesting group of people with pretty diverse backgrounds. One gentleman is the GM for the local Ambulance company, another guy works the master control room for the power company out here. We got one girl who is in human resources, another one who is in IT. We have a guy who is an ex-chef. The group is maybe 12 people at the most. Its going to be a fun time. We also got all our books for the first class already. Luckily they just include the cost of books into the tuition and then give them to you at the beginning of the class. At the third class they will be giving us laptops, which are top of the line Lenovo Thinkpad R61’s that were specially customized for the school. Thank god they didn’t stick us with shitty Dell’s
