March 31, 2008 Wordpress 2.5 was released a few days ago and I finally got around to upgrading the website. So far so good and I am digging the new admin interface. I seen some traffic on the wordpress forums about how people didn’t like the new admin interface when it was in Beta. It is different then before, but I am not finding it too difficult to find everything.
March 24, 2008 I been doing a great deal of soul searching the past couple of days. I always tended to kind of go with the flow and never really followed a set plan. I tend to think this has served me pretty well in the past couple of years. I always kind of had an idea on what I want to do, I never had a set goal of “I want to do in X in time frame Y”. I am starting to think its about time I did that. I am at the point where it seems like career wise I find something good for a few years, I work my ass off and do really well, only to just end up having to start from square one again. I do not want to keep having to do this, this is my fourth time already and its starting to get rather tiring. I need to start working on getting to a point career wise and life wise where I won’t have to do that anymore.
March 20, 2008 It’s been a pretty crazy two days. I found out yesterday that they want to move our entire department from West Seneca, NY out to Denver, CO in 6 months. It was not working out and they want to move everything out to Denver where all the development and stuff happens. This leaves me pretty much screwed again. I just went through this not even two years ago when things were being transferred from Adelphia to Time Warner/Comcast. I think it would be a hell of a opportunity to work in Denver, but Amanda still has two years of residency left and plus we are in the middle of building a house. I have some things in the works that will hopefully keep me here in Buffalo, but If things don’t pan out with in the next month or so, I am going to start looking outside the company. I really do not want to, this has been the best job I have ever had and I hate to leave.
