New Ride
March 9, 2007
Well today I went out and bought a new car, not really brand brand new…but still pretty new. I picked up a slightly used 2007 Subaru Impreza. The Ion wasn’t cutting it anymore, it sucks in the snow and I been having to take it into the shop to fix alot of stupid things lately(3 times in a span of a weeks), plus having to jump the goddamn thing almost every morning when the temp dips below 20 degrees F(The battery is less then 3 years old). All of it has been under warranty but the fact i had to waste time to get into the shop to have stuff fixed was just too much. I’ll try and get some pics up soon.

Congrats on the new ride. I have a ‘98 Legacy Outback (just paid off, woot) and love it. Had been thinking of trading in since it’s showing its age a little, but it still runs well so I’m going to see if I can squeeze a few more years out of it first.
Be warned, however: My experience with my Subaru is that it’s a very reliable car, but when things do break, they can be a little expensive to fix because parts seem to be difficult to come by.
Dunno if you’ve driven it in the snow yet, but you’ll like it when you do. My Outback handles around 10-12″ of snow without too much difficulty, though there’s been a few times where I’ve had to just power my way through with all four wheels spinning.

I went with an extended warranty to hopefully take the sting out of repair costs. My wife has an 2004 Impreza Outback Sport which i have driven in the snow and it kicks ass.
