2006 is off to a good start
January 4, 2006
I really hate saying that i am making New Years resolutions, resolutions end up being ignored or broken anyway. All they really do is give us that false sense of getting our shit together. Now that i think about it there really is no good way to phrase that “yea i am going to get X amount of things taken care of this year” off the top of my head. Maybe this is due to the fact that its not even 7am while i write this post. I guess the best way to describe it is that here is what i am focusing on this year..
- Pay off my Credit Card
- Get back into shape
- Start an OSS project or work on an exsisting one
It is not such a huge list of things and i am already making inroads on the first two items on my list and its just the first week of January. As for the OSS project, i have an idea what i want to do. I just need to start writing down ideas and figure out the technical aspects of it. The one reason why i want to start a project is for the longest time i been wanting to learn how to program and do some sort of software development. Most of my current programming bckground consists of process automation and web design, nothing really hardcore. I see some of the stuff that some of the people i hang out with in #Linux hack on and i am amazed.
Well, time to get ready for work
