August 23, 2005 Ok I like to think of myself as a rather newbie when it comes to web design. I have done the odd site for a person here or there but i would not classify myself as an expert. While in my studies to become a better web developer, I keep reading that tables are bad bad bad juju for doing layouts with, use CSS positioning instead. So here I am always doing layouts with div’s and css positioning because i read that was the right thing to do(tm). But as I look at other sites and for idea’s and see how they did a certain layout, everyone and their mother are still using tables. Why is that? is it too much of a pain in the ass (sometimes i think it is) to do it with just straight CSS?

August 17, 2005 So i am still trying to figure out whats going on with my raise. I’m getting to the point where i am ready to just give up on it. By the time these incompetent cunts get around to it, I’ll have moved on to a new job.
On a more lighter note, I have a phone interview scheduled with one of the companies i sent my resume to on Monday. I am stoked.

August 4, 2005 I really hate the waiting game, i really do. I would like to think of myself a reasonably patient person, but this is driving me nuts. I been waiting to hear back from two local colleges with regards to job openings they have. I have sent in the materials they wanted weeks ago. I been emailing them trying to get some sort of update as to what is happening with my resume. I just emailed them both again today looking for an update, so hopefully i get something back. If not I am going to have to try and call these people.
I also send my resume out via fedex to someone who works at fedex (lol), for a position that i hope they are looking for someone. I really wish something will come from that, this makes two resumes i have in over there as well.
In work news..
The CEO and VP of operations are in town for a meeting to try and dispell any rumors of the place closing down. I was invited to the meeting where the CEO was going to give us his spin on the whole matter. Personally i think they are full of shit and just trying to prevent the whole office from leaving till they close the doors. There is nothing i hate more then people who lie, why lie that you are going to close the place down to give everyone a false sense of hope and security? What does that gain you? Everyone in the office is already misrable and would love nothing to see hurricane wipe out everything thats down there. I’m glad i am not going to show up, i could care less about a free lunch. I can eat for free at home. Plus if i show up i am not going to be able to control myself and will end up saying something that will get me fired.

August 3, 2005 I been working at the current company for 15 months now, and i still have yet to receive a raise. I got my review and all that jazz but my one boss hasnt submitted the paperwork yet. I keep asking him, hey did you send it in, but he keeps telling me “sorry i didn’t yet, i’ll take care of it”. Now i understand that he gets beat up on a daily basis from the idiots up top, but still I have come through for him several times when he needed shit done by the next day. Especially when i have to deal with all the other crap that i have to deal with. I’m so sick of this place, I hope some of some of these people contact me back soon with regards to my resume.
