New Year Resolutions

I figured it that time of year again where i take stock on what happened in the past year and what i where i am going in the new one coming up. Amanda has been saying that having resolutions is kinda pointless, if you want to do something, just do it. Dont wait for the new year to decide that you are going to do something. In a way i have to agree with her, i guess i just make them because its kinda the thing to do and everyone does it. So for the new year coming up this is what i am going to start doing now and not wait a few days before starting it.

-Pay off my laptop and my car, i really want to get these paid off this year if possible.

-Learn a programing language, kinda leaning tward perl or C#

-Get some certs, I’m working on getting my CCNA and will hopefully have it this spring. Plus i would like to get A+ and my RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer)

-Go on another Criuse somewhere with my hunny.

-Get a better job if possible

Thats about the major points right there, so hopefully in 04 i will be able to accomplish these. Well time to hit the gym

So from what i listed it was a pretty good Christmas, i think i had more fun giving presents this year then getting them. Dont get me wrong i loved all the stuff i got from everyone, but it really made me happy giving everyone the stuff i got them.

i am so excited

Christmas is just a short 2 days away!!!!!! and finally all the waiting will be over. Got its really starting to kill me trying to figure out what Amanda got me, i was good till the begining of the week, now i am going insane. Plus i really really want to give her the stuff i got her, i hope she really likes them. So far the Christmas plans are going to is this..

-both going to do the family thing in the morning
-shes going to come over to my place and we’ll exchange each others stuff
-go to my aunt’s place (mom’s side) and do the christmas thing there
-go to her house and hang with her family for the rest of the night and crash over there.

I dont plan on going to my Aunt’s on my dad’s side of the family. I personally can not stand the woman, plus things are kinda on the bad side between my folks and the family members on that side. The only reason why i would go is see the grand parents and that’s it.

Now i need to find something to do for the last 40 minutes of my shift, things have been pretty quiet and i have everything all caught up.

Finals part 2

December 18, 2003

I am now done with school, i took my last two finals today and now i have a month off. The Digital 2 exam was easier i thought, he basically gave us that one, the questions were exactly like the practice exam. I ended up getting 169/175 with a A overall in that class. As for Cisco, i am still waiting on what my overall grade was but i kinda blew the test. I ended up with a 77 on it, i thought i was solid with the material after scoring well with the quizes and practice exams. I should have studied more for it but i was more worried about my digital exam. I think i am going to end up with a B in the class (hopefully) . Now that i have some free time for a month i am going to start working on studying for my CCNA exam. I am shooting to take it around February~March. I do need to get it done my the 31st of March or i will have to take the newer exam.

In closing i would like to say i broke my promise from the begining of the week. I just let work got me down really bad. I dont know how much longer i can take this crap.

finals update part 1

I aced my Cisco practical today!!!

Man i was so nervous about the subnetting and the troubleshooting part but it turned out to be a piece of cake. I was in the zone and was doing the stuff without even thinking, almost like having a zenlike moment. I am going to take the written on Thursday in the afternoon. I took the practice exam a few times for that and was scoring in the 90s. But i am going to keep looking over it so i can nail a perfect on that also. Only other thing i need to worry about is the Digtial 2 exam. I am going to hit that practice exam on that atleast a couple more times before Thursday. After that no more school for a month!!!
