July 30, 2003 Going to post this as a wish list/thing i want to get done. I’m not looking for anyone to hook me up. Its more of a thing to keep track of what i need to get done at some point.
Things i need to get done that are important
-New Tires and alignment on the car
-New shocks on the car
-Tune up
-Need a new bed badly, the one i have now is messed up
-Get into better shape then i am now
-Start saving money for school and holidays comming up (yea i know its in the middle of summer but still)
-Pay off laptop
-Pay off Car
Things that i need to get done that are not important
-Finish this steven king book
-Finish the book Nick loaned me
-Finish reading the 3rd book i started reading
-Rebuild drwily again, this time using the spare ECS mobo + duron 950
-Finish the list of games i have that i need to finish
-Learn a programing language and actually follow through with it
Things at work i need to get finished
-Finish reading the Openview manual
-Finish reading the Korn shell book
-Finish reading the SNMP book
-Start working on some form of plan for implementing Openview montoring on servers that we have agents on
-Work on updating our documentation a little bit
-Research the idea of using wiki for our documentation
Wish list of things i would like
-A new Computer Desk
-Dual 17″ LCD displays
-Paint my car or maybe just save up for a new one.
-Some side contracting work to help get things taken care of.

July 29, 2003 Just a few things here before i jump in the shower to get ready.
I finally got the 60 gig drive in for the laptop and installed! I had bitch of a time getting one of the screwed out that secure the drive to the caddy. I ended stipping it in the process (wupps). I finally got Windows XP on the one partition and will put debian on the other for some dual boot loving. Only problem is that right now i dont think there is anyh linux supprt for the 802.11g cards at the moment.
My Esstential SNMP book should be here today! (I hope), i been slowly going through the HP Openview docs and the korn shell book learning everything. I wish i had more time at work to work on this stuff. I’m seriously considering hitting the books at home so i can catch up on it. I really want to get going on this project really bad. I got some neat ideas for it that i can think make our lives (The ops) easier.
I started riding my bike again, dad finally got it fixed for me so i been going out pretty much every morning for a quick 1-2 mile ride. Nothing to major yet, i am just trying to get used to riding again and not kill myself.
I’m finally seeing the doctor after 5+ years. Lately i been really run down, bitchy, not focused and just hating life (except for when Amanda is around 
) . I have a feeling i already know what the doc is going to tell me. That i need to start eating better (which i have) and start working out more (which i started to) . But it would be nice to make sure that all my parts are in order and that also.
Well time to hit the shower, Amanda will be here in an hour . Going to get some lunch and she wants to check out some skirts in the mall she saw this past weekend (mmm gf in skirts).

July 24, 2003 Well you know i was saying how Amanda got into Syracuse? Well her first choice school just called a few days ago saying that she got in (University of Buffalo Med. School). Needless to say she dropped Syracuse like a bad habbit and ended up going for UB (w00t). Which means now she will get to stay in the area muahahahah. This weekend we have to go PDA shopping for her, its one of the things that the med school says she needs. The only had 3 models to choice from (damn no Ipaq >_< ) a Palm Zire 71, a Palm Tungsten C, and a Kyrocera 7135. I looked over the 3 and told her she should go with the Tungsten. It seems like its a nice unit versus the other three, plus it has better features IMHO. The 7135 would be cool imho geekwise, but i think it would be a pain in the ass considering its also a cell phone and the screen isnt that big.
In other news…
I made my last major purchase for the year yesterday (i promise hun!). I picked up a Toshiba 5400 rpm 60 gig laptop hard drive. I ended up ordering it through Googlegear.com for $214.00, i wanted to get the 40gig model but everywhere i went they had them on back order. I figure with some more RAM and a faster HD, it should breathe some more life into my lappy (Dell Inspiron 8000) atleast till next year when the warrenty runs out and i’ll have money for a new one.
The reason i am going to hold off on stuff is i want to build up some money in the bank account for rainy days. Plus i have school comming up with the holidays not to far behind.
Well time to take a shower, and hopefully the SWG servers will be up afterwards. I need to check up someone of my extractors.

July 22, 2003 Why am i stuck with fucking idiot co-workers? Why cant i have co-workers that can understand my very simple shift turnover emails? Why cant i have co-workers that dont install a bunch of uselss shit on the PCs that totally fuck it up to a point where i have to re-ghost them? Why must i have co-workers that are hardly ever on time? Why do i have co-workers that just fuck things up because they dont read the fucking documentation?
You know i would be alot more happier at my current job if our 3rd shift wasn’t a bunch of fuckups.

July 20, 2003 Well the weekend went pretty well. I spent most of it with the hunny 
Saturday was a pretty day, normally its my weekend to come down and stay at Amanda’s, but due to the fact she had a lot of out of town family members in for her sisters going away party (shes going to MD for a teaching job). So she ended up crashing at my place, but then we would have to come down. We started out the day by going with her family to the Phillps collection on display at the Albright Knox Art Museum. I dont mine art too much, i really like penicl drawing and photography. But Abstract is really not my bag, i can never get into it and feel what the artist was trying to say, It all seems like noise to me.
After that we came back to the house to eat and drink, which was kinda cool. Nothing like a ton of food and alcohol to pass the afternoon. After dinner we went to see Bad Boys 2 with her sister and her sisters birthday. All i got to say is if you can get a chance, see it. It had a really good mix of comedy and on your seat action. Amanda didnt real care for it, which is cool for me. Seems more like a guy movie heh, I did promise to take her to see Seabiscuit this weekend my treat for making me drag her to the movies last night.
Now for today, Amanda crashed over at my place again last night. After we got up we had breakfast with the rents. After we had some foot in our stomachs, we had to tackle out only chore for the day….give the cat a bath. See my cat spits is a long haired white kitty who seems to get dirty really bad every soo often enough that he needs a bath. So after capturing the kittie we dunked him into the sink and gave him a wash. Jesus that cat is strong, with two hands i was struggling to keep him in the sink a few times. As soon as we started it was over with a nice clean kittie, i know he was pissed at us after that. But after that he was back to old social slut self after he dried off for a bit.
After giving spits a bath and then taking a shower oursleves. We took off to look at desks at Office Depot and to pick up a new wireless card for my laptop at Compusless err i mean CompUSA. After that we hit the mall for a bit for shits and giggles.
So thats basically my weekend so far..full of fun and excitement.
