Finally got around to updating drwily, he needed it. Currently running Redhat 8 for the time being. I’m still in the process of getting my stuff together for the Red Hat Certified Engineer Certification (RHCE). I managed to get all the latest packages installed (gotta love apt4rpm) and i am recompiling the kernel as i type this. I’m updating it to 2.4.20, the kernel that RH8 ships with is 2.4.18.

In other news i ordered me a new hard drive for the main box. I ordered a Western Digital 120gb special edition drive. I been needing the extra drive space for awhile now and the drives have finally come down in price, so i decided to pick one up. Hopefully it will get here this weekend. I think when this finishes up i am going to grab an early lunch and do some PHP coding afterwards.

Managed to get everything done that i said i would. Hell i even had enough time to get my ass handed to me in Command and Conquer: Generals a few times by the computer. I think thursday i am going to work on drwily in the morning. I would tomorrow but i got class in the afternoon and wont really have time. I need to get the kernel updated, clean out some of the logs, get some other stuff updated and audit the security on it.

I decided that i am going to leave Asheron’s Call. The reason being is that the game is no longer fun for me. Its not that i dont have time or anything else like that. Basically the way the game is going and the conduct of people in game have basically made it not fun anymore. In all honestly I’m surprised that i made it this long. I’m going to unsubscribe my accounts prolly this weekend. Plus i am trying to cut back on some expenses so i can get some stuff paid off. I might play Asheron’s Call 2 havent decided yet, or I might just wait for Star Wars Galaxies to come out.

I got up early to get some stuff done, this is the list of things i am going to try and get done before i go to work.

-Pay car insurence
-Pay CC bill
-Clean up the room a little bit
-Do some laundry
-Work on the linux box some
-Work on the laptop

I’ll post back on what i have done before i leave for work. Maybe i should start doing this more often. Post what i need to get done for the day, maybe it will help getting the shit done that i need to get done.

I Love more good News

Again my buddy brought me some more good news, it appears that Armin Van Buuren is going to playing at the infamous The Guvernment in April. So looks like Nick and I are going to be making atleats 2 trips up to Toronto this year
In other news havent had a chance to really work on anything lately. Been kinda hard with school, work and other things. I really need to work on the drwily (my linux box) and get him updated and do some spring cleaning. Also need to clean the laptop off and do some maintenance on that as well. I seen a 40gig hard drive for it that i want to pick up, plus RAM prices are comming down so i might just go an max out that RAM on it. It also seems that a deal i had going on Agora for a Geforce2Go for it is falling through. I never heard back from the guy, I emailed him a few times and that was about it. O well, I’ll just call Dell and get one brandnew. I also have some a bunch of other computer parts laying around. I should get them together and build a small box to take with me to LAN parties.

Also looking into possibly getting a newer car next year, something a little bit bigger then what i have now. I was thinking either a Altima or a Accord. But the Accord’s are way overpriced…even for a used one.

Had a great weekend, Amanda and I went and saw The Life Of David Gale.
I really enjoyed the movie and believe that Kevin Spacey and Kate Winselt did a really good jobk, it definitly had me at the edge of my seat. I still need to see DareDevil , and Dark Blue which also looks really good. Well time to go, i need to finish up some work and chat with Amanda some before i go home for the night
